PlexiDor Electronic Dog Door

15 years with an electronic Plexidoor. It’s hands down the BEST home improvement investment I’ve ever made! One minor repair, very minor I must say, and it’s still going strong.

My husband and I have had the Electronic door since 2011. Our two large dogs use it just about everyday year round in Kentucky. It’s been extremely reliable. When we had a problem, Deidre and Bill were there to help over the phone no matter how long the call may take. The best and most personalized customer service you’ll ever come across. Highest recommendation.

We our on our second electronic door; we moved away from the first one and installed a new one after our move. We have made a few repairs in 7 years and the customer service we have received has been phenomenal each time. Our lives are much easier with our door; the dogs love the freedom and so do we.

I have two electronic plexidors – LOVE them and want a few more for the basement/front entries. Initially I started with flap entry doors – then i had 3 Bichon, then 2 BICHON and 1 standard poodle – now have 8 standard poodles and one Bichon. These doors are great and save me a lot of time and gives the pets freedom to let themselves in/out. Right now, 5 of the poodles are 5 months old pups so they basically fly out of the house on another’s key access – although i have RFId tags for all, do not know if the door’s programming will allow 9 or even 10 as i want another little dog. – am waiting a response to this matter – even a work around …

I seldom write reviews as I am old school and believe when you purchase a product, it should work as advertised (which we all know is rare!). However, when a product, and/or their service, exceed my expectations, I am more than happy to tell others. This is the case with my purchase of a PlexiDor Electronic Pet Door. I found PlexiDor in 2012 while searching for doggie door options for my home in Lakewood Ranch, Florida (I had no idea they were located in Bradenton!). I took the plunge on this unique product and it has worked flawlessly for close to eight years! I have a fenced in backyard and I use the “through the wall” version (thru a concrete wall). I have two dogs (Golden Retriever & Black Lab) and they learned to use the door to let themselves out within a day. According to my calculations, over the course of almost 8 years, with two dogs letting themselves out on average 5 times a day, my PlexiDor has opened and closed approximately 29,200 times! It has never failed once, nor have I had to replace any components (I hope I have not jinxed it now)! In addition, their Customer Service is fantastic and they are very responsive to your questions/needs. Trust me when I tell you that you cannot go wrong with this product. The only issue you will have will be your disappointment in not having purchased the PlexiDor Electronic Door sooner!!
