Security Boss Elite Super Selective Patio Cat Door Insert

The Elite Super Selective puts a programmable RFID cat door into a Security Boss patio insert for sliding glass doors. The cat door, made by Animate, unlocks only for an RFID collar tag, so your cats come and go while strays and raccoons stay out. The insert stands in your existing track with no cutting, and you can lift it out to use the full door. Security Boss hand-builds each insert to order in the USA.

Cat door features

  • RFID collar tag entry: program up to 8 cats. Extra tags can be added when you order.
  • Raccoon-proof locking: a magnet centers the flap as it locks, so a raccoon can't hook its fingers under the flap and pull it open.
  • LCD screen shows whether each cat is in or out, plus battery status.
  • Timer to set when cats are allowed outside.
  • 6" x 6" opening.

Insert features

  • Safety tempered glass in a white powder-coated frame, about 12" wide.
  • Spring-loaded adjustable top for easy installation or removal, locked with thumbscrews on the inside.
  • Extendable brace bar included to lock your slider closed against the insert.
  • Bulb seal on both sides, plus a 3" vinyl weather strip for the back of your slider.
  • Step-over rise of 2" (opening starts 3 3/4" up) or 4" (5 3/4" up).

Choose your height range

Open the slider and measure from the deepest part of the bottom channel (past any rail) to the inside of the top channel. Enter your exact measurement when you order.

  • Range 1: 70" to 77.25"
  • Range 2: 77.25" to 84.5"
  • Range 3: 84.5" to 91.75"
  • Range 4: 91.75" to 99"

FAQs

Is it for dogs?

The 6" x 6" opening is sized for cats. For dogs, see the Standard or MaxSeal patio inserts, or all dog doors for sliding doors.

How many cats can use it?

Up to 8, each with its own RFID collar tag.

Will it fit my sliding door?

The insert's bottom C-channel straddles a floor rail up to 5/16" wide, and the top fits a track with a rail up to 9/16" wide.

Is the patio door still secure?

Yes. The top locks from inside, and the included brace bar holds the slider closed against the insert.
