This is a pricey dog door, but it is well worth it. It is routinely used by my five huge dogs. Unlike a flap door, which curls with time and leaves a space, the fuzz strip between the doors keeps cold air out. Even in heavy winds, the door does not blow open. The plexiglass is simple to clean, so it not only looks lovely but also lets the dogs to see through it. My first one was purchased in 2001 for my previous residence. It lasted for years despite frequent usage, so when I required a new dog door for a new house, there was no doubt that I would buy the same door.
